How to Choose the Best Wax For Hair Removal

How to Choose the Best Wax For Hair Removal

There are many different types of wax for hair removal available on the market. What's the

best wax for hair removal for you? This is a guide on some of the products available, and

how to choose the best wax for hair removal.

Wax for use with a strip is a hot wax typically made of beeswax and rosins. Some of these

hair removal products do not actually contain wax, but rather honey mixed with glycerol

ester of rosin. It is fast and effective, and when used correctly, causes limited discomfort. It is

the most suitable method for hair removal on large parts of the body, such as the legs and

back. The wax should have a liquid-honey consistency for fast and easy application.

Manufacturers are now producing many other types of hot wax for sensitive skin. They are

also suitable for removing stubbly coarse hair using the strip method. These new waxes have

a more opaque, creamier texture and can achieve a thin, liquid consistency at a lower

temperature. They may also contain azulene, chamomile, or tea tree oil for their anti-bacterial, as well as soothing and calming properties.

When using hot wax, be sure to heat it according to the manufacturer's specifications. The

specifications are usually found on the can, or in a brochure accompanying the heater. If

possible, use the wax that comes with the heater. If not, you should use a thermometer to test

the temperature of the wax and make sure it is heated at the recommended level.

The best hot wax for hair removal should be thin enough to run off the spatula easily. The

edge of the spatula should glide along the skin, leaving a thin film on the skin. Before using,

you should test the wax first, on the inside of the lower arm where the skin is more sensitive

and where there is no hair. A suitable amount to apply each time is about half a teaspoon on

the end of the spatula or applicator. If the wax is at the right consistency and at a comfortable

temperature, it is safe to use.

If the wax is too cool and thick, it will not glide easily onto the skin, and it will pull and

possibly lift the skin. It will also be tougher to remove. Do not use it as it will not remove the

hair properly and it will likely cause a lot of pain and discomfort.
